I love the early 20th century concept of an Ensemblier – people like Ruhlmann, Pierre Chareau and Eileen Grey, Poirot and Atieler Martine, who headed and bought together a collective of aritisans to produce the most incredible interiors. Or Jean Michel Frank working with Dali, the Giacometti brothers, and other surrealists.

I still have my obsessions with Alexey Brodovitch, Carlo Mollino, Kertész, Brandt, etc. and most importantly the great patrons of 20th century art: people like Peggy Guggenheim, Marchesa Casati and Marie-Laure de Noailles.

A Gesamtkunstwerk (translated as total artwork, synthesis of the arts) is a piece of work or project which makes use of more art forms across various disciplines.
